The LAA Meet 2024 chess tournament showcased impressive intellectual battles, with Units III and I emerging as dominant forces in the secondary division.

Individual Chess Secondary Girls

Gold: Joana Rose Chan (Unit III) demonstrated her strategic brilliance to claim the top spot.

Silver: Angelica Tepace (Unit I) played exceptionally well, earning the second-place finish.

Bronze: Cia Baluyot (Unit III) added another medal for her team with a strong performance.

Team Chess Secondary Girls

Gold: Unit III (Joana Rose Chan & Cia Baluyot) showcased excellent teamwork to secure the championship.

Silver: Unit V (Angelica Tepace & Bernadeth Tepace) earned a well-deserved second place.

Bronze: Unit I (Aliana Franz Adarayan & Shiela Mae Militar) rounded out the podium with a commendable performance.

Individual Chess Secondary Boys

Gold: Edgar Ellise Lagarto (Unit I) delivered a masterful performance to seize the gold medal.

Silver: Gerardo Cesar Ballado (Unit I) showcased strategic depth to earn second place.

Bronze: John Cedric Tepace (Unit II) battled fiercely to claim third.

Team Chess Secondary Boys

Gold: Unit I (Edgar Ellise Lagarto & Gerardo Cesar Ballado) dominated with exceptional coordination and strategy.

Silver: Unit III (Christian Jepollo & Jhian Morillo) secured second place with notable performances.

Bronze: Unit II (Rico Dalangpan & John Cedric Tepace) added another medal to their haul.

Unit III displayed remarkable prowess in the girls' division, claiming both individual and team golds. Meanwhile, Unit I reigned supreme in the boys' division with double golds in individual and team categories. The competition underscored the skill and determination of these young chess players, promising a bright future for the sport in Laoang.
