𝐄𝐕𝐀𝐂 𝐁𝐀𝐃𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐎𝐍 𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐈-𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐑𝐔𝐋𝐄𝐒 & 𝐆𝐔𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒

𝑨. 𝑪𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑳𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒔
Age Group (all Singles)
10 to 12 (Boys and Girls)
13 to 15 (Boys and Girls)
16 to 18 (Boys and Girls)
Open (All Doubles)
Men (Levels B, C, D and E)
Women (Levels C, D and E)
Mixed (Levels C, D and E)
𝑩. 𝑮𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑹𝒖𝒍𝒆𝒔
This tournament shall be governed by current Laws of Badminton. The organizers and tournament director shall be the ultimate governing body authorized to manage the tournament proper. All decisions for the purpose of resolving issues shall be final and executory. The organizers and tournament director likewise reserves the right to issue official and final decisions on matters not covered by any of the rules written in this document.
𝑪. 𝑬𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑬𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔
1. Open to all badminton enthusiasts.
2. Former and current varsity players, trainers and coaches are allowed to participate but will automatically be categorized in Upper Levels.
3. Highest Rank Player among each pair will be the basis of their level.
4. Registration Fee is non-refundable.
5. First Entry for all is P400.00; Second and succeeding entries is P200.00.
6. Inclusions: Shuttlecocks, Tournament Shirt, and Medals.
7. Releasing of Game Schedule is on February 28, 2024.
𝑫. 𝑻𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒕
1. The tournament shall use the Single Round Robin format.
(Elimination Rounds and/or Finals with 3 to 4 pairs)
2. Levels with 1 group, top pair after all matches will be proclaimed the Champion.
3. Levels with 2 groups, top pairs in each group after all their matches will advance to Championship match.
4. Levels with 3 groups, top pairs in each group after all their matches will draw lots with 1 bye waiting for an opponent for the Championship match, while the other 2 pairs will play a semifinal match.
5. Levels with 4 groups, top pairs in each group after all their matches will advance to a semifinal knockout stage. They will draw lots on who will be against who. Winners in each semifinal knockout matches will advance to a championship match.
6. Same procedure for levels with 5 groups and higher.
7. After the toss has been conducted, the players will be given 2 minutes to warm up.
8. Decisions of the umpires, line judges and table officials shall be final.
𝑬. 𝑺𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒚𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒎
1. For the Open Category, matches will be 1 set first to 31 points with change court at 16.
2. For Age Group, matches will be 1 set first to 21 points with change court at 11.
3. Championship matches, depending on the time available, can use 3-set 21 point format.
𝑭. 𝑻𝒊𝒆 𝑩𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌 𝑹𝒖𝒍𝒆𝒔
1. If two pairs have won the same number of matches, the winner of the match between them will be declared the winner. (Win Over the Other)
2. If ties involve more than two pairs, quotient system will be applied (Points Won – Point Loss over all Games).
𝑮. 𝑺𝒖𝒃𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏
1. A person can only substitute a registered player before the start of the tournament, provided that they are of the same level of skills and ability.
2. If the technical committee finds out that the substitute player has a higher skill and ability for that level, all games of that pair is forfeited.
𝑯. 𝑰𝒏𝒋𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔
1. In case of injury, the player injured will be given 5 minutes injury time out or rest after with, he/she shall decide whether to resume play or retire.
𝑰. 𝑫𝒆𝒇𝒂𝒖𝒍𝒕, 𝑾𝒂𝒍𝒌-𝑶𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒔𝒕
1. Players will be given 5 minutes defaulting time; if the players do not arrive within the allotted time, the opposing pair present will be declared winner for that match.
2. Any pair that concedes a walk-over at any stage of the competition may still play in their other matches as long as they still qualify.
3. All appeals/protests must be reported or submitted in writing by the players concerned, 2 minutes after the incident to the Tournament Director. This must be accompanied by a Non-Refundable Fee of P 2,000.00.
4. No more protest regarding their levels and other matter is allowed during the tournament proper.
𝑱. 𝑶𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝑰𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔
1. The organizing committee and its appointed officials shall not be held liable or responsible for any injuries or mishaps that may occur during the competition or as a result of participation in the tournament.
2. The organizing committee has the right to disqualify any participant/s for any reason of misconduct, use of foul language or rowdy conduct inside the court.
3. In all other matters not covered by the preceding rules, the decision of the organizing committee shall be final.
