HILL TRAINING GUIDE (PRA SA MGA GUSTO)

Why Train for Hills:

Hills are not just obstacles; they are training tools to build strength, endurance, and mental toughness. Runners often struggle at specific points during a marathon (depends on individual factors like training, pacing, and nutrition so thresholds nila may vary mga sho). Hill training (although not a sole reason) helps you push through that critical phase. (Critical phase pasabut ana is your performace threshold)

HOW OFTEN TO TRAIN ON HILLS

If You Live in a Hilly Area:

Just run your normal routes—most runs will naturally include hills. (Hinay2 langs).

This develops hill strength without needing to “schedule” it peru must be consistent jud to build that.

🌟 RUN FOR A CAUSE: SOLIDARITY WITH CEBUANO EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS 🌟

(Bogo & Medellin Earthquake Recepient)



1️⃣ REGISTRATION & DONATION DROP-OFF

📍 Where: Tagbilaran City Sports Complex (Designated Donation Booth)
⏰ When: October 2-4, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM (Before the run starts)

📝 How:

- Bring your donations (cash or in-kind: hygiene kits, clothes, non-perishable food, running gear).

- Fill out a short form with your name and donation details (e.g., "Juan Dela Cruz - ₱500 + 2 packs of rice").


2️⃣ TRANSPARENCY & ACKNOWLEDGMENT

📋 Donor Recognition:

- All donors’ names and contributions will be posted in our FB page (Thank you)

- A post-event report (total donations, items received) will be shared publicly.

3️⃣ RUN MECHANICS

🏃 Route: 6.7KM (optional) around the Sports Complex.

🎗️ Participation Token: Every donor/runner receives a commemorative headband:

“I RUN TO SUPPORT CEBUANO EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS” – wear it proudly!



4️⃣ CAN’T JOIN THE RUN? STILL HELP!

💌 Alternative Support:

- Drop off donations anytime before 5:00 PM at the venue.
- Send cash via verified channels (DM organizers for details).

5️⃣ POST-EVENT FOLLOW-THROUGH
🚚 Donation Delivery:

- All items will be personally delivered to runners’ communities in Bogo and Medellin by Boholano volunteer teams.
