The Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh), led by Governor Aris Aumentado, extends its warmest congratulations to Justin Madelo of Garcia Hernandez, Bohol, for winning the Gold Medal in the 5,000-Meter Walk (U18 Men) at the ICTSI Philippine Athletics Championships 2026, held from June 10 to 14, at the New Clark City Athletics Stadium, Capas, Tarlac.

His victory brings pride and honor not only to the Municipality of Garcia Hernandez but also to the entire province. The PGBh commends his hard work and determination, which continue to inspire aspiring athletes across the province.

Bohol, the first and only UNESCO Global Geopark, celebrates this milestone and joins the community in wishing Justin Madelo continued success as he carries the Boholano spirit of excellence in future competitions.

The success is proudly supported by the PGBh, through the Provincial Youth Development Office’s (PYDO) “Leveraging Assistance for the Representation of Grassroots Athletes (LARGA)” Program, with the support of Garcia-Hernandez LGU, led by Mayor Jess Baja, and his coaches Jojo Orcullo and Jonas Acierda.
