Mango Ranch Football Tournament 2026
Greywolves 16 and Under Category

Summary
The Greywolves 16U team showed encouraging structure and teamwork throughout the tournament, highlighted by their 2–1 win over Dauin FC where they converted chances well and stayed composed under pressure. However, consistency was a challenge across matches, especially against older, stronger, and more organized opponents. The tournament served as an important developmental experience, exposing the players to higher physical and tactical demands.
A memorable highlight for the players was seeing Azkals standouts Jarvey Gayoso and Sandro Reyes during the event, an inspiring moment for the young athletes. The team also had the opportunity to share moments and huddle together with Don Bosco Liloan, strengthening camaraderie within the Bosconian community.

The squad combined core Greywolves players, summer additions, and loaned players from DB Liloan. With most players born 2012 and younger, the group competed in an older 16U division, making this a valuable exposure experience for development and growth.

Key Takeaways
The team is still developing chemistry due to recent additions and age gaps within the squad. While attacking output was shared across players, defensive organization and transitions remain key areas for improvement. Despite the results, the experience gained against stronger opposition is valuable for long-term growth of the Greywolves program.
