TEAM ORANGE MAKES A STATEMENT!

Team Orange came out firing and took control from the opening tip, displaying confidence, composure, and total team effort. Once they grabbed the lead, they never looked back.

Team Purple tried to mount a comeback and fight their way back into the game, but Orange proved to be too much to handle. Their relentless pressure, offensive ex*****on, and strong defensive effort kept Purple from making a serious run.

At the final buzzer, Team Orange secured a convincing 66–49 victory and closed Day 1 with a strong statement in Bracket B.

Ronan Relativo earns the title of BEST PLAYER OF THE GAME, showcasing heart, hustle, and relentless effort on both ends of the court.

He did the little things that often don't appear on the stat sheet—fighting for loose balls, making the extra effort, defending with intensity, and doing whatever his team needed to win.

Not every contribution can be measured by points, rebounds, or assists. Sometimes, it's the heart, hustle, and winning plays that make the biggest difference.

Ronan delivered when it mattered most and played a vital role in helping his team secure the victory.

What a BATTLE!

Team Yellow and Team Red delivered one of the most highly intense games of Day 1, with neither squad willing to surrender. The game remained extremely close from start to finish, forcing both teams into an overtime thriller.

With everything on the line, both squads fought possession by possession, showcasing grit, hustle, and determination. But when the final buzzer sounded in overtime, Team Yellow emerged victorious, 67–63!

A hard-fought battle that already looks like a FINALS PREVIEW of this year's tournament.

Evangelista was simply everywhere on the court, dominating the boards, battling for every possession, and attacking the paint with an explosive inside game. His relentless hustle and physical presence played a major role in leading Team Purple to a 53–40 victory over Team Green.

Team Purple opened their campaign with an impressive 53–40 victory over Team Green in the first game of the 2026 BDO Sportsfest Basketball.

Purple controlled the game for most of the contest, displaying great hustle, determination, and an outstanding total team effort. Team Green refused to go down without a fight, mounting a strong comeback attempt in the second half and keeping the pressure on their opponents.

However, Team Purple stayed composed and continued to battle until the final buzzer, as their determination and teamwork ultimately prevailed.
