A feast of Irony

There’s something deeply ironic about it. Citizens gather to raise their voices against corruption, only to be met with 100 roasted cows and a giant cake, courtesy of the vice president. Aren’t you part of the government people are criticizing? What was meant to be a rallying cry for accountability suddenly feels more like a fiesta.

People are not out on the streets asking for food or entertainment. They’re asking for honesty, transparency, and an end to waste. By pouring resources into such displays, it seems that local officials are mocking the spirit of the rally — as if corruption can be answered with roasted beef and icing sugar.

At its core, this is not about cows or cakes. It’s about fairness, justice, and the people’s longing for a government that takes their cries seriously. Real change cannot be served on a platter — it requires action, not theatrics.
