🎯 What is SPS?
The Special Program in Sports is a DepEd-approved program designed to identify, develop, and nurture talented student-athletes while ensuring they receive quality academic education. It aims to produce well-rounded learners who excel both in sports and academics.

✅ Develop athletic skills and sportsmanship
✅ Provide opportunities for local, national, and international sports participation
✅ Instill discipline, teamwork, and leadership
✅ Promote physical fitness and healthy lifestyle
✅ Prepare students for possible sports careers or scholarships
⚽ Program Features
-Enhanced PE curriculum: Focus on advanced sports skills
-Regular training schedules: Daily or weekly sports practices
-Specialized subjects: Sports theory, officiating, conditioning
-Participation in competitions: School, district, regional, national meets
Partnerships: Often linked with local government units, sports associations
📚 Structure
Grades 7-10 (JHS): Combination of core academic subjects + sports specialization
Grades 11-12 (SHS): Learners can transition to Sports Track under Senior High School
🤝 Who can join SPS?
Students who pass a screening process (skills test, physical fitness test, medical check)
Must show potential or talent in at least one sport.
