Another moment to remember, as my students embark on their Taekwondo journey.

The belts you earned today aren’t the end of the line. There is more to it, but I hope with every belt you earn comes a lesson you’ll always carry even beyond Taekwondo.

As I think of it, you guys are like living proof of what dedication and hard work can give you. From just being shy and struggling to do your basic kicks and movements, now you can also practice various kicks and movements on your own.

Anyways, congratulations kidz! I hope your new belts will be the lights for your growth. Hopefully soon enough we can also test you guys with the big guns.

For all the people who’s involved in the process, specially to the Parents and Guardians who gave their full support — thank you so much po.

And of course, for the guidance and all the valuable insights, thank you so much to our Head Instructor Sir Denniel Ciriaco.
To our host gym, Tabuk City Taekwondo Dynasty, thank you din po for having us at your dojang for this promotion 🙇🏼

Once again, congratulations everyone 🙇🏼

I’ve been asked, “Why do I always join other Martial Arts seminars when it’s not my actual art?”

This is my take:

1.It allows me to enhance my skills beyond my comfort zone.
2.Joining various seminars for different martial arts lets me understand and differentiate each one. You see similarities and differences in the process.
3.This allows me to combine each type of martial art in shaping what’s best for me to practice.
4.It sometimes exposes me to what can be applicable or useful in defending myself, or just simply in sport.
5. You might learn things that can help in your mastered art — your main martial art.
6. You’ll meet new people who can help you grow in the # future.
7. As a young instructor, I get to see different styles of teaching that can also help me further enhance our trainings.
8. Philosophy. Different martial arts have their own perspectives. Learning new philosophies doesn’t mean changing perspectives, but understanding what other arts may think about a certain point of view.

Last December 2025, there was a Martial Arts Seminar hosted in Conner. I attended it and learned a lot of new things about BJJ, Muay Thai, and even Boxing. Yes, there are similarities, but there are also things that are much more different. I’ve adopted some of their styles, drills, techniques, ways of teaching, and even some of the fighting styles itself.

And now I’m currently attending a Filipino Martial Arts Seminar. As usual, there’s a lot more that is again similar and different. It wasn’t easy for me because I am not familiar with the terms and techniques, since it’s in Filipino and Spanish. But I still tried to comprehend — luckily, the speakers are really good and they delivered every lesson we had to learn as beginners.

I might be the youngest to attend. It’s really beyond my comfort zone, but I still tried to interact. As one of my masters said, “Walang umaangat sa pagiging mahiyain.” Hahaha. They were very friendly, and even though I am one of the youngest, I was still able to communicate with them comfortably.

Now, during all the workshops, seminars, and trainings I’ve attended, every speaker keeps saying one principle: “Find a coach.”

I’ve reflected and realized there are a lot of promising kids in my hometown — very talented and skilled. But most of them have something in common: they need a coach, because it’s hard to find someone who can guide you in the path you want.

I am more than lucky enough to have the opportunity to attend trainings for different martial arts. Attending these seminars isn’t for me alone, but also for the people I inspire. I’ll just keep mastering the basics, and hopefully I can also help them explore the world of martial arts.

Too all our Speakers during the Arnis, Kali, and Eskrima Seminar and to the our host KALASAG, Pugay po🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️

Hello everyone, I’m Zacharry Bryce C. Sapaen, one of the instructors at Apayao Tigers Taekwondo Club.

I serve as the instructor and coach for our Talifugo, Guinamgamman, and Ili branches. I’ll be posting updates on our training, events, and the every little bond we share in each session.

I’m posting here because my main Facebook account has restrictions on uploading photos.

Thank you for the support! 🙇🏻
