1st CURV V-League Concludes with Team Delulu Spikers Crowned Champions

The CURV V-League 2026, in coordination with the SK Officials of Barangay Cadcadir West, successfully concluded its five-day volleyball tournament held from May 6 to 10, 2026, at the Barangay Cadcadir West Multi-Purpose Hall. The league featured four competing teams in a preliminary round robin format followed by the semifinals and a thrilling championship series.

After an intense Best-of-3 Finals showdown, Team Delulu Spikers emerged as the champions after defeating Team Mashikif with a 2–1 series victory. Team PitiPew Pew Wiw Wiw and Team Makder secured the 2nd Runner-up honors following their competitive performances throughout the tournament.

The tournament also recognized outstanding individual athletes who showcased exceptional talent and consistency on the court. Named as Best Players after the Preliminary Round were Eric Tagalicud, Franz Karl Balanay, Justine Llamelo, and Kenedy Britz Bidey.

Best Setter — Bryant Jess Mateo (Team Delulu Spikers)
1st Best Open Hitter — Eric Tagalicud (Team Delulu Spikers)
2nd Best Open Hitter — Kenedy Britz Bidey (Team Mashikif)
Best Opposite Hitter — Lance Nicolai Aquino (Team Mashikif)
Best Blocker — Aladin Beroña (Team Mashikif)
Best Receiver — Caspian Escosio (Team Delulu Spikers)
Best Digger — Kyron Gabriel Anua (Team Mashikif)
Best Server — Aizerry Ia Gorospe (Team PitiPew Pew Wiw Wiw)

Meanwhile, the Finals Most Valuable Player award was proudly earned by Eric S. Tagalicud of Team Delulu Spikers after delivering an outstanding all-around performance in the championship match. He finished with 21 points built from 18 attacks and 3 service aces, alongside 4 excellent receptions and 5 excellent digs.
