πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ SKEPTRUN 2.0 β€” TATAKBO PARA SA KAPWA KO ❀️

We run again β€” not only for the distance, not only for the finish line, but for a purpose bigger than ourselves.

Now on its 2nd year, SKEPTRUN returns as a Run for a Cause, bringing runners, friends, and the community together through every step, every kilometer, and every act of support.

Because sometimes, running is more than a sport.

It becomes a way to help.
A way to give back.
A way to move together for a meaningful cause.

One run. One community. One purpose.

🌧️ A RAINY RACE TO REMEMBER.

Congratulations to our SDO RUNNERS who took part in the Kabayanihan Run 2026 – Laoag City Leg, Ilocos Norte, organized by the Philippine Marine Corps – 4MBDE.

It was far from an easy race.

The rain stayed with the runners from start to finish. Some parts of the road were flooded, while mud and soil washed onto sections of the route. There were long stretches of dark roads, strong crosswinds, soaked shoes, cold conditions, hunger, and growing fatigue.

Every kilometer demanded a little more patience, focus, and determination.

Still, our runners simply kept going... one kilometer at a time.

πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ Eduardo Wilson Tagura β€” 5th Place, Male Category
πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ Jerinel Tuzon β€” Finisher

Five runners proudly representing SDO RUNNERS.

More than the rankings and finish times, we celebrate the effort, patience, and determination it took to reach the finish line despite the difficult conditions.

Every race teaches us something.

Sometimes it is about speed.
Sometimes it is about chasing a personal best.
And sometimes it is simply about staying patient, respecting the distance, and continuing forward through the rain, darkness, crosswinds, flooded roads, mud, cold, hunger, and fatigue.

But this race also meant something more.

It was both an experience and a privilege to take part in an event that runs for a greater purpose... supporting the beneficiaries of the Philippine Marine Corps Foundation.

That made every difficult kilometer feel a little more meaningful.

It was a simple reminder that heroism does not always have to come in grand gestures. Sometimes, it can be found in showing up, giving what you can, supporting a cause, and taking part in something that may help make a difference in someone else's life.

A special thank you to Armando Palacpac and company for extending hydration support to our runners during the race. In conditions like these, even a simple bottle of water and a helping hand along the route can mean so much. Your support was truly appreciated. πŸ™πŸ’§

To our fellow SDO RUNNERS, may this serve as another reminder that progress comes in many forms.

Whether you run 3KM, 5KM, 10KM, 21KM, 50KM, or simply show up for an easy weekend run, every step still counts.

Congratulations, Amie, Anderson, MJ, Eduardo, and Jerinel. Thank you for carrying the SDO RUNNERS name with you through a truly memorable and challenging race. ❀️

And congratulations as well to every runner, organizer, marshal, volunteer, and support crew who braved the weather and helped make this meaningful event possible.

Respect every pace. Respect every distance. Keep showing up.

What started as an unplanned run turned into a solid 12KM L*D with the crew. Sometimes, the best miles are the ones you didn’t even plan. πŸ’ͺπŸ”₯

And a special welcome to Ma’am Lorna Briones on her first run with SDO RUNNERS! πŸŽ‰β€οΈ Glad to have you sharing the road and the miles with us.

It’s been a while since we had one, but it felt great to hit the road together again. ❀️

10KM of shared miles, good conversations, solid effort, and the same community spirit we’ve always had.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and made our comeback run a memorable one. No matter the pace, what matters is that we started together and finished stronger together.

Here’s to more community runs and more miles ahead! πŸ”₯

Today’s community run along Sta. Catalina Beach was filled with good energy, great company, and beautiful coastal views. Another meaningful morning shared by runners who continue to show up, move forward, and grow stronger together.

Special thanks to Flor De Light Maulit for preparing our delicious post-run mealβ€”the perfect reward after all those kilometersβ€”and to our generous sponsor for the support that made our gathering even more memorable. Your kindness is truly appreciated! πŸ’™πŸ’›
