Honestly, nobody ever said this journey was going to be easy. For us at LITO BADMINTON TRAINING CAMP X POWERSHUTTLERS, every single serve, smash, and drop shot comes down to pure grit and a deep-seated love for the game. Weβve been grinding it out with practically zero support, no backing from our local municipality, and paying completely out of our own pockets just to cover a training venue, meals, and gas money to get around. But a lack of resources has never meant a lack of heart. We keep showing up, playing with everything we've got, and proving over and over again that real passion always finds a way.
None of this would even be possible without the incredible people who chose to believe in us when no one else did. A huge shoutout to π²π¬π΅π» π―π¨πΉπΆπ³π« πΊπ for stepping in to cover our players' registration fees, you gave us the chance to step on that court and show what we can do. Big thanks as well to The2008 Printhouse for making sure we looked sharp, felt confident, and stayed comfortable with top-quality jerseys on match day. And to the π΄πΆπΉπ¬π΅πΆ ππ¨π΄π°π³π, thank you so much for taking care of our meals and snacks, keeping us fed and energized throughout the entire tournament. Your generosity meant everything to us, and we felt your support in every single match we played!
To our local community, government leaders, and sports officials: itβs time to take a real look at how we support our athletes. Passion and talent aren't limited to just basketball or a couple of popular games, every single sport matters, and every athlete deserves a fair shot. When all the focus and funding go to the same few things, so many talented, hardworking kids get left in the shadows. We need to build a community where every athlete, no matter what sport they play, gets the recognition and backing they need to represent our town with pride.
To the whole Daanbantayan badminton community: don't lose hope. Itβs easy to feel down when backing is hard to come by, but our real strength has always been in our passion and how we back each other up. As long as we stick together and keep pushing for the game we love, nothing can stop us. Keep showing up to train, keep smashing hard, and keep your heads high. Weβre in this because we genuinely love the sport, and if we stay united, they'll have no choice but to notice us!
