🏆 KKVC KINGS KNIGHTS CAPTURE BATTLE IN MILAVIGA CHAMPIONSHIP
MILAVIGA, CARAMORAN — The KKVC King's Knight Volleyball Club completed a remarkable championship run on August 21, defeating the Manambrag Black Brainiacs in a five-set final to claim the Battle in Milaviga volleyball championship.
The title capped a month-long campaign that saw the Knights overcome an early setback, climb back through the elimination round, survive a difficult semifinal, and eventually finish the tournament on top.
The road to the championship, however, did not begin smoothly.
EARLY SETBACK
The Knights opened their campaign on July 8 against the Manambrag Black Brainiacs, suffering a two-set defeat in their first match of the tournament.
Rather than allowing the loss to derail their campaign, KKVC responded strongly in their succeeding matches.
On July 18, the Knights secured victories over the Milaviga Men’s Spikers and Rapado2.0 Datag, showcasing improved defensive organization, faster transitions, and more effective combination plays.
The team continued its campaign on July 25 against the TSC Tubli Blazers, completing the elimination round with a 3–1 record and securing the No. 2 position in the standings.
KNIGHTS SURVIVE SEMIFINAL TEST
The semifinal brought another meeting with the Tubli Blazers.
Played under challenging conditions brought by the Habagat winds, the match went three sets and tested the Knights’ composure and endurance.
KKVC eventually secured the victory and earned its place in the championship final.
FIVE-SET CHAMPIONSHIP DECIDES THE TITLE
The August 21 final set up a rematch between KKVC and Manambrag — the same team that had defeated the Knights in the opening game of the tournament.
This time, the stakes were much higher.
The two teams battled through five sets in a match marked by long rallies, aggressive attacks, defensive saves, and momentum swings.
The Knights maintained their composure throughout the deciding moments and eventually secured the victory, completing their championship campaign.
