A pioneer of Philippine volleyball, he was an integral part of the national menโ€™s team that made history by winning the countryโ€™s first-ever Asian Games volleyball medal, a bronze at the 1962 Jakarta Games. This milestone not only brought pride to the nation but also laid the strong foundation for the sportโ€™s growth in the Philippines.
