CDO BadBuds officially kicked off in late May 2025, founded by a small group of badminton players in Cagayan de Oro who initially connected via Facebook. What started as a casual meet‑up at local courts quickly transformed into a tight-knit community. From the outset, the spirit was inclusive and low-pressure—open to anyone, regardless of skill level and even those without their own racket. The gr
oup thrived on shared equipment, friendly invites and photos of games that built a sense of camaraderie. Within weeks, more players joined. A casual circle of a few became a buzzing weekly regular—sometimes half a dozen or more players showing up—bringing friends along, often without prior badminton experience. Our identity solidified as a friendly, welcoming group playing mainly at Sportszone Paseo, Cagayan de Oro City. The values of CDO BadBuds remain simple but meaningful:
