Tournament Rules & Regulations

Welcome to the tournament! To ensure a smooth and competitive experience, please adhere to the following rules and schedule.

1. Schedule & Attendance

Call Time: All players must check in at the registration desk by 7:00 AM.

Grace Period: A 2-minute grace period will be allowed after a match is called. Failure to appear on court 2 minutes will result in a walkover (forfeit).

2. Tournament Format: Double Elimination

This tournament follows a Double Elimination bracket, meaning you are not out of the tournament until you lose two (2) matches.

Winners' Bracket: Teams that continue to win stay in this bracket.

Losers' Bracket: If you lose a match in the Winners' Bracket, you drop down to the Losers' Bracket for a second chance to reach the finals.

Finals: The winner of the Winners' Bracket will face the winner of the Losers' Bracket to determine the champion.

3. Scoring System

We are utilizing a "One-Set Sprint" format to keep the tournament moving efficiently.

Target Score: The first side to reach 30 points wins the match.

No Deuce: This is a "sudden death" format. If the score reaches 29−29, the next point wins the game. There is no requirement to win by two points.

Court Change: Teams will swap ends of the court when the first side reaches 15 points.

4. General Gameplay Rules

Service: A coin toss or racket spin will determine the initial side and service.

Shuttlecocks: Each match will be provided with a set number of shuttles. Excessive or intentional damage to shuttles may result in a warning.

Officiating: The linesman/umpire’s decision is final. Please maintain sportsmanship and respect at all times.

Whether you’re a Level D veteran or a Level F rising star, this is your court to claim. Great prizes, high energy, and intense rallies await!

🏆 Tournament Details
Where: San Juan South, Cabiao, Badminton Court
When:May 16–17, 2026
Categories:Doubles (Level D, E, & F)

🏸Category D – Intermediate
Players have solid fundamentals (footwork, clears, drops, smashes)
Can sustain rallies and understand basic doubles rotation/positioning
Some tournament or competitive experience
Gameplay is consistent but not yet advanced

🏸Category E – Lower Intermediate / Advanced Beginner
Knows basic rules and strokes but still developing consistency
Rallying ability is moderate, errors happen more frequently
Limited tournament exposure
Learning doubles coordination and positioning

🏸Category F – Beginner
New or relatively new players
Still learning proper technique and rules
Struggles with consistency and court movement
Focus is more on participation and experience

💰Registration Fees
Single Entry: ₱500 per head
Double Category:Add only ₱400!
Inclusions:Shuttlecocks for the entire tournament + Court fees (No hidden charges!)

This decision was made after careful consideration to ensure better organization, participation, and overall experience for all players and supporters. We understand that many of you were looking forward to this event, and we sincerely appreciate your enthusiasm and continued support.
