📍1st Mainit Futsal Tournament
RAFC 🏆 Born 2005 - Champion 🥇🖤
Today tested our limits, from the games to unexpected setbacks. Despite the registration fee being ₱1500 and the prize only ₱1000, which left us at a loss, we raised our concern during the awarding, only to be told that the prizes were final.
This post isn’t meant to stir issues, but to voice the challenges that many local players face in tournaments like these, and we hope future events take fairness into account.
NEVERTHELESS, our hearts are full of gratitude. A massive thank you to MR. RUDY AGUSIN and MR. & MRS. SAMPUANG for the never ending support, your support made this journey possible, and your belief in us will always be our greatest win. 🖤
To Mainit and the organizers, thank you — but this will be our last. We stand for fairness, and we hope future events improve for the players who continue to give their best. ⚽
Edit:
Following this post, the organizers reached out and mentioned it was unfair not to include the trophy and medals they provided. We acknowledge this and take that into account, the trophy and medals are appreciated.
However, we stand by what we said. The financial loss we experienced was real, and despite the physical tokens of recognition, the cash prize discrepancy remained unfair.
Thank you.
