CSU Golden Paddlers Baseball/Softball Team

The CSU Main Campus and CSU Cabadbaran Campus battled it out in a best-of-three series for the right to represent the CSU Golden Paddlers in the upcoming MASTS 2026 Baseball competition.

GAME 1 | CSU Main 7–2 CSU Cabadbaran
CSU Main came out swinging, putting up five runs in the opening inning and building an early lead. Cabadbaran answered with two runs late, but Main held the line to take Game 1.

GAME 2 | CSU Main 16–7 CSU Cabadbaran
Cabadbaran kept the game tight early, but CSU Main broke it open in the third inning with four runs. Cabadbaran battled back to tie the game at 5–5, forcing extra innings. Main then erupted for 11 runs in their final at-bat to pull away and close out the series.

They battled the current, rowed through every inning, and now the CSU Golden Paddlers are MASTS 2026-bound!

The Caraga State University Golden Paddlers are gearing up for a Local MAST to determine which team will represent the University in this year’s upcoming MAST Baseball competition.

With teams from the Main Campus and Cabadbaran Campus facing off, expect a battle of skill, grit, and school pride as both sides compete for the chance to wear the CSU colors on the bigger stage.

Day 2 saw the CSU Golden Paddlers finish 1–1, falling short against Bayugan Cool Cats in our bid for a championship spot, but bouncing back with a hard-fought win over Rizal Rangers to secure 3rd Place in the 1st Adlaw Hong Butuan COED Slow Pitch Softball Tournament.

This podium finish is a testament to the grit, teamwork, and determination shown by every player on the field. Every inning, every play, and every hustle mattered.

To our coaches, supporters, and everyone who believed in us, thank you for being part of this journey.

Our first podium is just the beginning. Here's to many more. 💚💛🌊

The CSU Golden Paddlers opened the 1st Adlaw Hong Butuan COED Slow Pitch Softball Tournament with two strong wins, coming out victorious against Sibagat Fibers and ANHS Eagles.

Kevin Simangca went yard with a home run, delivered a power hit, and drove in an RBI to help fuel the offense. On the defensive side, Althea Villamor put on an exceptional defensive performance, making key stops and helping keep the opposition in check throughout the day.

Through the collaborative efforts of the LGU Butuan, MATATAG Club, and the CSU Golden Paddlers, the Caraga State University Open Field is now ready to host the 1st Adlaw Hong Butuan COED Slow Pitch Softball Tournament.
