LUZON LEAGUE REGIONAL MUAY THAI CHAMPIONSHIP 2025📖🌱🤍

MP's D'Phenomenons dominates during the Luzon League Regional Muay Thai Championship, headed to the national championship

Laguna- The Team D'Phenomenons Muay Thai Combat Team of Mountain Province continues to demonstrate its capability after bagging two gold and two silver medals during the recently concluded Luzon League Regional Muay Thai Championship held at San Pablo, Laguna on June 4-7, 2025.

The event was a qualifying round for the upcoming National Muay Thai Championship. The gold and silver medalists in the Luzon League, now, got a ticket to compete in the national championship, facing the champions from Visayas and Mindanao.

During the event, Jason Bryan Lacwasan Co fiercely outworked his opponent from Ilocos Norte to win the championship round after first defeating his opponent during the semi-final round via RSC.

Jordan Ace Fagyan and Burnel G. Diohen both won their semi-final rounds. They fell short on points during the championship round to get two silver medals and were also qualified for the national championship.

Moreover, Gerald G. Diohen will automatically proceed to the national championship after winning by default in his weight class category.

Meanwhile, Marwin G. Ronquillo placed 5th over 11 fighters in their category after falling short during the elimination rounds. Jaxen Alfred Sagsakho, Keyl Pachingel Martin, and Jabar Usman Alawi also gave their best but they fell short during the elimination rounds.

With their success, the Team D'Phenomenons will be preparing to compete in the National Muay Thai Championship. Also, the team is headed to the National Kickboxing Championship after shining in the earlier martial arts event, thus competing in two national martial arts events.

Mtn. Province’s Muay Thai team excels during 2024 National Batang Pinoy Youth Games

Puerto Princesa, Palawan - Mountain Province’s Team D’Phenomenon shined in Muay Thai combat sports during the 2024 Philippine National Batang Pinoy Youth Games in Puerto Princesa Palawan.

Jason L. Co and Rheigne E. Falluyan secured two gold medals in their respective weight category. Co defeated his opponent from Ilocos Norte under 60 kg. weight category to secure the first gold medal for Mountain Province in the combat sport
while Falluyan triumphs against his opponent in the final round under the 67 Kgs. weight category

Arnel A. Tangilag defeated his opponents from Baguio City and Benguet to reach the championship round under 63.5 Kgs.; however, he fell short in points against his opponent from General Santos City. He secured a silver medal.

Moreover, other martial artists from the team also fought valiantly, securing three bronze medals. Marwin G. Ronquillo, Jordan Ace Fagyan, and Jaxen Alfredo Sagsako each bagged one bronze medal in their respective weight class.

Meanwhile, Kane Maki Bagawi, Tychecus O. Caasi and Charles Malafu gave their best to move past the first round but fell short in the elimination rounds via points.

According to the team’s coach, Darwin P. Padchonga, the team proved that they could compete against the best fighters in the country.

Team D’Phenomenon has been producing promising young athletes in Muay Thai, as evidenced by the team’s performance in the latest competition. Martial artists from the team were also able to bring home medals during last year's 2023 Muay Thai National Championships and the 2023 Philippine Muay Thai Youth Games.

Coach thanked the people who, in one way or another, supported the team. He wants to express the team’s utmost gratitude to Gov. Bonifacio "Boni" Lacwasan Jr. and Cong. Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr., for providing the necessary support to the athletes.
