βFollowing a 30-point deficit victory in the first game of the finals, team Seventeen will now play against the more determined Team Silangan in the second round of the series. Team Seventeen, however, did not anticipate what would happen next. In addition to their high-flyers Venturero and Abrea, Team Silangan was controlling the first half. Cadevida, a young star, was particularly accurate, making five three-pointers to help the team fall behind Seventeen by 20 points. βWhen the game went into the second half, however, team Seventeen's spirits remained unflinching. Team Seventeen played aggressively on offense and strengthened their defenses. Under De Guzman's leadership, Team Seventeen was able to maintain control of the match and tie the score. The team kept their cool and performed admirably for the remainder of the game after witnessing the fruits of their labor and skill. The defenses of team Silangan were disrupted by the skillful ball rotation of their guards, Catapang, Pagusan, and Cabatay. Additionally, their forwards Alday and Manalo were always there to grab the rebound and reclaim the ball for another opportunity to score if a shot was missed. Not to mention De Guzman, their team's best player, who dominated the paint area. De Guzman demonstrated that he is presently the league's best center by leading the squad in both scoring and rebounds. After an intense battle, team πππ―ππ§ππππ§ won the final series 2-0 and defeated team Silangan 88-83 to ultimately collect the championship.
