Greetings!
For the past 30 years, I have traveled to over 120 countries, conducting seminars and promoting the art of Filipino Martial Arts, specifically Pekiti Tirsia Kali. Each year, I conduct around 47 to 50 seminars and training camps.
My journey continues, and I remain committed to promoting the fighting culture of the Filipino people, known as “Kayumanggi.” This is not just my passion; it is my life’s direction to support, preserve, and spread the art across the world.
Traveling, however, is never easy. It is physically and mentally exhausting. There are times I eat food I don’t necessarily prefer, simply because there are no other options when you are constantly on the move. Being particular with food becomes a challenge when there is little time to prepare meals.
One of the most difficult parts is the constant travel, sleeping in airports, waiting for flights and connections, and adjusting to different time zones. Upon arrival, I must quickly adapt and recover from jet lag. Even resting in hotels or Airbnb accommodations takes time before I can fully adjust and feel comfortable.
Throughout my travels, I have experienced many situations taking trains, buses, and taxis, meeting all kinds of people, both good and bad. There have been moments of encountering scams or difficult situations, especially in foreign countries. In those moments, I’ve learned to remain respectful, composed, and mindful, finding ways to handle situations without causing offense.
All these experiences have shaped me to become more flexible, adaptable, and culturally aware, adjusting to each country I visit.
Looking ahead, in the next three years, I plan to adjust my schedule and move toward more consolidated seminars and training camps.
The demand continues to grow, and managing the schedule will become more challenging.
It is also my goal to develop and build more Pekiti Tirsia Kali instructors who can help carry the mission forward, continuing to spread, promote, and support Filipino Martial Arts worldwide.
The journey continues.
