As parents, this is one of the reasons why we love pickleball.

It started as something my wife and I enjoyed together.

Then somehow, our kids started picking up paddles too.

And suddenly, it became more than just a sport.

It became family time.

Less screen time. More court time.

More laughs, more banter, more memories—and now, we get to watch our Kuya slowly fall in love with the same game we love.

He still has so much to learn.

So do we.

But maybe that’s the best part.

We get to learn, improve, and enjoy this journey together. ❤️

And as parents, you really can’t ask for much more than that. 🏓

Ang sarap sa feeling na makabalik ulit sa court kasama yung taong mahal mo. ❤️

For almost 4 weeks hindi siya nakapaglaro dahil nagkasakit siya, and honestly na-miss ko yung moments na ganito. Yung simpleng bonding habang naglalaro, nagtatawanan, minsan nagkakainisan pag mali yung shot 😂 pero at the end of the day, magkasama pa rin doing something we both enjoy.

One thing I really admire about her is hindi siya basta sumuko. Maraming tao kapag naputol yung momentum nila, nawawalan na ng gana o nadidiscourage bumalik. Pero siya, she showed up and played again.

And I think that says a lot about her character.

Thankful ako na naeexperience namin together yung sport na mahal namin. Hindi lang siya about pickleball anymore. Mga memories na rin namin to as husband and wife. ❤️

PS. Wala po talagang away nangyari dahil namiss din namin mag laro together 😜

Two games in…

…and my water is already gone.

Not because the games are long.

Because I sweat like crazy 😂

Yung tipong pagkatapos maglaro, parang nilubog sa tubig yung suot mo. Shirt, sleeves, lahat basang-basa.

So I upgraded to a 1.89L tumbler.

Not because it looks cool.

Not because everyone else has one.

Because I actually need it.

For so many years I was working from home.

Sitting.

Working.

Minimal movement.

Then pickleball happened.

And now every session feels like my body is reminding me:

“Uy, gumagalaw ka na ulit.”

Slowly nag-aadd tayo ng gears. But yung afford lang. Hindi kailangan sabay-sabay. Hindi kailangan pinakamahal.

Because this sport isn’t just about having fun anymore.

It’s investing in yourself.

Physical health.

Mental health.

Stress relief.

Time with people you enjoy being around.

And the funny thing is, minsan yung binibili mong gamit isn’t really just about the gear itself.

It’s about supporting the journey.

Thank you again sa wife ko ❤️

Ikaw talaga laging nauuna makakita ng kailangan ko bago ko pa mapansin minsan. Thank you for always being on top of things and supporting me every step of the way.

Few months ago, hindi ko pa alam difference ng d**k, drive at reset. Ngayon, nagtuturo na ako kay Kuya Migz ng mga basic drills habang sabay kaming natututo. 😅

Hindi pa ako expert sa pickleball. Madami pa akong kailangan aralin at i-improve. Pero ang narealize ko, minsan hindi naman kailangan maging magaling agad para may ma-share ka sa anak mo.

Minsan sapat na yung present ka.
Sapat na yung “tara practice tayo.”
Sapat na yung bonding habang namumulot ng bola under the heat. 😂

And honestly, ito yung mga moments na gusto kong maalala years from now.

Hindi lang tungkol sa pickleball.
Kundi tungkol sa oras, tawanan, at memories naming dalawa ni Kuya Migz. 🫶🏓

Inner child activated. 😂

Pag dating ng A11N machine, wala nang warm up warm up… rekta unbox tapos test agad sa bahay. Ayun, literal na “f**k around and find out” kasi after few seconds may pasa agad sa left arm. 💀

Not the fanciest machine out there, pero honestly, it’s how you make the most sa kung anong meron ka. At least ngayon buong Team Catz pwede na mag basic drills anytime. 🎾

First time namin sumali sa “Cup To Court” as a team, me and Angel.

Honestly, ibang level yung mga nakalaban namin this time.
Hindi lang basta malalakas, matatalino maglaro.
Every shot may intention. Alam nila ginagawa nila.

Doon ko na-realize, kahit ilang months pa lang ako naglalaro coming from zero racket sports background, sobrang saya. Nakaka-adik.

Pero real talk, malayo pa.
Hindi ito laro lang.
Kailangan pa ng hundreds of hours. Drills. Reps. Consistency.

Hindi kami nanalo,
pero parang panalo na rin.

Dahil sa support niyo.

Sa mga nagpunta, nag-cheer, nag-message, solid kayo.
Ramdam namin.

Congrats din sa wife ko and sa partner niya na si Jobs, ex partner from Don Benitos.
You guys gave a really good fight sa bracket niyo.
Sobrang proud ako sa inyo.

Next goal?
Next summer, ibang version na kami.

Mas ready.
Mas composed.
Mas dangerous. 🔥
