🔹Korean Terminology for Beginners 🥋Yellow Belt (8th Kup)
For students beginning their Taekwondo journey at yellow belt, these are the some of most important Korean terms used in early training. Learning them builds confidence, discipline, and understanding of class structure.
🥋 Basic Commands
• Charyot (차렷) – Attention
• Kyong-rye (경례) – Bow
• Joon-bi (준비) – Ready stance
• Shi-jak (시작) – Begin / start
• Goman (그만) – Stop / finish
• Bah-ro (바로) – Return / relax
• Sheo (쉬어) – Rest
👊 Stances (Sogi)
• Charyot Sogi (차렷 서기) – Attention stance
• Joon-bi Sogi (준비 서기) – Ready stance
• Ap Sogi (앞 서기) – Walking stance
• Ap Koobi (앞 굽이) – Forward stance
✋ Blocks (Makki)
• Arae Makki (아래 막기) – Low block
• Momtong Makki (몸통 막기) – Middle block
• Eolgul Makki (얼굴 막기) – High block
