It was the time that SMO are conducting Bible studies to different schools in Bacolod City both high schools and colleges we (The staff together with Ptr. Aeron Caldeo as the head organizer of the Lague) have came up to a decision to held a sports activity for them (students) like basketball for we have see
n their potentials and desires towards this game. Boys generally are having fun with Basketball especially a country like us, Philippines we get amuzed of watching Basketball game like NBA , Euro Basketball Liga and of course our very own league, the PBA. And this is what I have seen also to the students who were coming to our center every weekdays (after luch time) even weekends when school activities are done, they’re coming to SMO center just to play Basketball and also to meet some friends of different schools. By this reality, we decided to start a 3on3 Basketball league until such time that we ended up in a 5on5 game due to excessive numbers of students who desire to join. Every team is headed by the key persons in SMO, Pastors. So, those who are attending our Bible studies are previliged to join in the game as long as they play basketball. So, by this, we are not only helping them in their spiritual aspect but also in their social and physical aspects. Students are taught from the bible, protected from bad peers (socialization) and students are dveloping their basketball talent (physical development). Not only that, they were helped also in their academics in school and given a counseling through their Bible study leader at SMO center and even in school. And, by this, the UNITED BRADZ was founded by a Bible school Student of SMO-BTI named Bro. Rodgen L. Balangao. Now, the team is continuing their legacy with their whole aspects through the sport of Basketball. Remember them in your prayers. These are the contemporary teams of UNITED BRADZ:
