Terry Longbut is one of Papua New Guinea’s leading sports commentators and senior journalists, widely recognised for his voice in rugby league and national sports coverage. In 2025, he anchored TVWan Sports News and provided consistent coverage across athletics and major sporting codes.
He is the main commentator for PNG Hunters matches, the Digicel ExxonMobil Cup (men, women and juniors), the Hotspot Cup and the Pacific Rugby League Championships. He also covered the 2025 PM’s XIII matches and Pacific Cup.
Known for his strong delivery and deep knowledge of the game, he remains a key figure in PNG sports broadcasting.

In 2025, Willie Mavara Tamasi delivered one of his strongest coaching years on record, leading PNG weightlifters to consistent international success across every major platform. At the Mini Pacific Games in Palau, his athletes secured multiple podiums, including 5 gold, 2 silver and 7 bronze, with standout performances from Dika Toua, Morea Baru and Steven Kari. He followed this with success at the Oceania Senior Championships, adding 2 gold and 3 bronze, and continued dominance at club level with the Eleiko International Tournament producing 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze. Across the year, his program produced 14 gold, 10 silver and 16 bronze medals, confirming his elite coaching impact.

made a strong comeback in 2025 after overcoming injury, excelling as both an athlete and leader in para sport. At the Pacific Mini Games in Palau, she won Gold in the Women’s 100m Ambulant and Long Jump Ambulant, plus Silver in Shot Put. She also became national champion in all three events at the Goroka National Championships.
Beyond competition, Dorna continued contributing as a coach, assistant team manager, and advocate for people living with disabilities. She completed multiple international coaching and safeguarding certifications, while helping guide Special Olympics PNG badminton athletes to medal success internationally.
