Lest We Forget.

Today, we pause to reflect and remember the courageous men and women who sacrificed so much for the freedom we enjoy today. Because of their bravery and selfless service, we are able to live in peace with our families, in our homes, villages, provinces, our nation, and throughout the world.

As we honour their memory, we also give thanks and praise to our Lord for watching over those who served and for the lives they gave so that future generations could live in freedom.

May we never take their sacrifice for granted. Let us continue to uphold the values of courage, unity, peace, and service to one another.

Four Centuries Light Up Ikaiana Oval

It was an exciting round of cricket at Ikaiana Oval as batsmen dominated the competition with four outstanding centuries recorded in a spectacular display of power hitting and skill.

Leading the charge was Aioro Waves captain Herea Kila-Pat, who produced a brilliant innings of 126 not out from just 65 balls, becoming the second player to score a century in this season's Late Boi Boto Memorial Shield. The former PNG Garamuts representative entertained spectators with a commanding batting performance that set the tone for a remarkable round.

Not to be outdone, James Temu of Taitu Strikers delivered a masterclass of his own, smashing 106 not out from 52 balls to register another century for the competition.

The fireworks continued as Eddie Tau recorded his second consecutive century, scoring 103 runs from 61 balls in another dominant batting display. His batting partner Sibona Kila joined the century-makers list with a superb 104 runs from 53 balls, ensuring fans witnessed an unforgettable day of cricket.

The four century-makers showcased exceptional talent and attacking cricket, providing one of the most entertaining rounds of the 2026 season. Their performances have set a high standard for the competition and cricket fans can look forward to more exciting matches as the tournament progresses.
