A night to celebrate the people behind the journey. 🏅✨
The UPNG Chiefs were proud to be part of the Intervarsity Sports Recognition and Certificate Presentation Night hosted by the SRC, celebrating the dedication and achievements of everyone who made this year's competition a success.

Thank you to the UPNG Student Representative Council , The University Of Papua New Guinea Administration, SARO staff, coaches, officials, volunteers, and all student-athletes in the various sporting codes for your unwavering support and commitment.

Congratulations to the Netball teams, the Volleyball teams, the Touch Tugby teams, the Soccer teams—and to every UPNG Chief who proudly participated.✨️🏅

The UPNG Chiefs would like to thank The University Of Papua New Guinea and the UPNG Student Representative Council for its immense support towards the team as it represents the Institution.

The team also extends its thanks to the UPNG Basketball Association for its tireless efforts in preparation for the Varsity Basketball games.

And in the true spirit of unity and sportsmanship, the UPNG Chiefs would like to wish its sister Sporting codes; the UPNG Soccer Teams, The UPNG Netball Teams, The UPNG Volleyball Teams, and The UPNG Touch Footy Teams, ALL THE BEST in your games and safe travels. 💙🫵🏿

UPNG Chiefs Star Hannah Kalua Set to Represent PNG!

Hard work and dedication have paid off for Hannah Kalua, who is just days away from living her dream of representing Papua New Guinea in basketball. 🇵🇬

The 24-year-old UPNG Chiefs Point Guard has been selected for Team PNG’s 3x3 squad for the FIBA Asia Cup in Singapore. Her journey started in December with the first squad trials, followed by six weeks of intense training before making the final cut.

Now, she’s ready to wear the red, black, and gold on the international stage! The UPNG Chiefs family is proud of her achievement and will be cheering her on every step of the way. 🏀👏

Another day, another intense pickup game at the “HOME OF THE CHIEFS”! The UPNG Chiefs showed up and showed out with skill, hustle, and passion for the game.

This is what makes this court special — it’s not just a place to play, it’s where friendships grow, skills are sharpened, and the spirit of competition thrives. The Chiefs' home court is more than concrete and hoops; it’s where champions are made. 🏀⛹🏻👏
