Kimadan teachers college to enroll 80 students
SNA LLG: Kimadan teachers college in the Sentral New Ireland LLG (SNA LLG) of the Namatanai District will be accepting its first enrollment in March this year. A local building contractor, Snowcrest Ltd is currently doing maintenance on Kimadan school facilities to take in first 80 students.
The CEO of Social Sector in New Ireland who is responsible for education, Apelis Benson has this to say: "Yes, we have the first cohort of students selected and will commence early childhood and primary teacher training this year, 2026. Currently, NDDA is the sole funding agency to the teachers' college. Development is gradual, but surely New Ireland will have a teachers college. The province this year has allocated more funding to this major development. Let's continue to support our province and contribute meaningfully in whatever capacity you can possibly offer.
