Great opportunity to speak in front of all our Junior Academy players about the Strength & Conditioning work we implemented during our Term One holiday programme.
I strongly believe that educating football players during their junior development years on the importance of S&C will help build faster, stronger, and more physically capable players for the future. By creating these habits early, we can better prepare players for the demands of youth and senior environments.
Players also worked in groups, answering questions around the why and how of S&C training, and more importantly understanding the direct link between S&C focused work and football related actions such as sprinting, changing direction, jumping, tackling, and maintaining performance throughout the game.
Developing strong foundations now will not only improve performance, but also increase confidence, resilience, and long term athletic potential.
