We’ve been missing in action the last few weeks but back this week for our Game Day Preview
Round 10 - Knights V Warriors
Takahiwai will be looking to get one back over our Knights Men after their last encounter.
They always seem to grow an extra leg when playing at home - something our mate Quiahn Pritchard could do with after rupturing his ACL playing for Patuharakeke last year 🤕 the crazy man has somehow still been soldiering on for us 🤯
Key Match ups?
We are at centre this week.
Reuben Kelly has been solid for the Warriors this year, defensively sound as always. He’ll need to be on his game tomorrow as Ridge King strolls into town. Let’s hope he bring that same speed he showed while out running the paddy wagon the other week 🤣
Other key match ups is the battle of the young guns:
Wiremu Ahomiro v Xavier Mexted 🔥
Both have been outstanding this year. Wiremus speed and power makes him a massive attacking threat.
Rumour has it he has a new tattoo, that he doesn’t want touched. I’m sure the boys will respect that and not touch his arm, on the left hand side, wrapped in glad wrap 👀🤣
Xavier has been huge for the Knights, stepping up as co captain this year and becoming a real leader. You’ll catch him side-stepping through the defensive line or throwing long balls out wide.
And if you somehow miss any of that, you’ll be sure hear his mum - Liz Mexted - on the sideline yelling,
“Go my son!!”
