HELP NEEDED – Club Treasurer Support

To our swimming community - we need your help!

We're putting the call out urgently for someone who can lend a hand with our club finances.

Our amazing committee consists of no more than a handful of members and at the moment we are stretched thin.

Specifically our Treasurer urgently requires an ongoing helper to ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

………………..

If you’ve got financial or accounting experience and can spare around 3 hours a week, please get in touch ASAP. It’s a volunteer role but a really rewarding way to give back and support local swimmers of all ages.

………………

You’d be helping with things like staying on top of accounts and making sure we stay compliant – all with the support of our friendly, committed team.

If this sounds like you (or someone you know), please email [email protected]

Thanks team – your support keeps our club afloat.

Shout out to anyone who has a working barbecue or a business that would love to donate a barbecue!

This image represents the state of our club's current sausage grilling situation 🤧😶‍🌫️🥶

Let's just say it's rather dim and we desperately need a new one. Or even one that heats up and can grill something would be a vast improvement.

If you can help, give us a shout and we'll be around to collect.

Much love - all the Whakatane Swimming Clubbies and the parents who work the barb 😍

Discover & share this barbecue GIF with everyone you know. GIPHY is how you search, share, discover, and create GIFs.

XLR8 Wrap

What a weekend!
Boy was it a chilly, high voltage extravaganza of a weekend in Taupo.

Before we get into the medal list (which is epic), first we need to give out some high fives and fist pumps..🙌👊👊👊

First - our athletes. Despite some being slightly under the weather, this crew of 20 odd absolutely turned up with game faces ON. All smashed PBs across multiple races and sure did our club proud. Well done team. ❤️❤️

Second - our coaching crew🎉
Thanks so much Mason and Jules for all your pre-race tips, tricks and general good times.

Third - the mum and dad support crews🏅🏅
These parents turned up, got busy across the pool with various designated jobs, then resumed their 24/7 support services as chief taxi driver, top culinary food hunter/gatherer, dry cleaner, and core body temperature analysts.

Onto the medal lineup!
