The Wellington Sāmoa Kirikiti Association has played a vital role in fostering cricket by uniting Pasifika communities through the sport. As the first for kirikiti, we are humbled by this national recognition as we reflect on the collective effort to lead, revive, and to create sustainable pathways for kirikiti in the Wellington region through our 𝗞𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗸𝗶𝘁𝗶 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲 (𝗞𝗣𝗟), 𝗞𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗸𝗶𝘁𝗶 @ 𝘁𝗵𝗲 Cello Basin Reserve, 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗮 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗶 𝟯-𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗞𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗸𝗶𝘁𝗶 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, and the 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 for the past 2-3 years.

It was awesome for our WSKA committee to catch up with former All Blacks Neemia Tialata and Piri Weepu who helped coach their two Wellington College Senior boys kirikiti teams (2026 Senior Boys champions). Neemia is a current player for the Valley Bears, Kanana Fou and Fa'amasani kirikiti teams. Its time to join the movement, Piri haha. Thanks heaps usos!

Pahina O Tokelau Congregational Christian Church, under the body of EFKT Church
Porirua, consist of members of Tokelau and Samoa players. We are excited to participate in the inaugural Kingdom Kirikiti competition and look forward to mafutaga with all teams.
