Waiuku swimming club: Expressions of interest are sort for a second swim coach for the Waiuku swim clubs winter season. The position is for term 2 and will be held at the Pukekohe Rec Centre on Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 7pm.
This will be a paid position for a certified swimming instructor that enjoys working with children. They would be working with children that are at different levels of swimming abilities. You must also be able to identify areas where the children need stroke correction.
Please contact me if you have any further questions or if you know someone that would be perfect for this position. Thank you.

From next week, trainings will be on Tuesday's and Wednesday's from 4pm to 5pm at the Waiuku Whiteside pool.
Come along and join in, everyone is welcome.

FIFTY YEARS AND STILL GOING STRONG!!!

Waiuku Swimming Club is about to kick off its 50th year of summer swimming at the Whiteside Pool.
The club is in a healthy position thanks to the support of our local community.
We have as our mission a desire to build on the strong base that we have established and offer a wider range of swimming opportunities to support our community.
This would include training for competitive swimmers, preparation for School Group day and Zone swimming events, general fitness and technique tuition for triathletes, ocean swimming competitors etc.
Our coaching is headed by Jacqui Waldegrave. She has a passion for swimming having been a competitive swimmer and is currently an active surf lifeguard and Ocean swimming competitor.
Our first club night for this season will be on Tuesday the 15th December and will commence at 4pm. We will be offering a free fun night and the opportunity to register. Come on down and meet our friendly team and join in if you wish.

Please go online and have your say A.S.A.P.....It's the only way we will get our pool upgraded!!!!We need to let Auckland council know what we need.
There is space on there to say that Waiuku needs targeted funding especially for a pool upgrade. One of the targeted funding ideas for 2015/2016 is $2.5m for development of Waiuku sports park however at this stage there are no plans to put a pool there.So it is up to the community to take the time to fill out the questionnaire and let them know what we need for Waiuku, this can be done online .
