Looking back on our unforgettable journey, we not only had the chance to compete on the court but also fully embraced the vibrant Samoan culture. From the warm smiles of the locals to the breathtaking scenery, each moment was a treasure.

As we gear up for the upcoming 1st Nations Basketball Tournament in Samoa this August, we're excited to incorporate those rich experiences once again. We are looking for players in the age groups of 15-19, boys and girls.

🛬 SIGNED | Nathan “Nate” Wilson is a Jet 🛬
Another one locked in! 💚🏀

Nate is a product of and and their strong development pathways. He helped lead MAGS to a 3rd-place finish at the 2019 Secondary School Nationals, showcasing his ability early.

From there, Nate stepped into Auckland Huskies in 2020, before taking his game overseas to the US. He’s recently returned home after competing at Oklahoma Baptist University (NCAA Division II), adding valuable college experience to his toolkit.

Another versatile, hard-working piece added as we keep building toward 2026 👀

Opportunity for our ASB players who have participated in the 1st Nations tournament 2025.

Tri-Nations Basketball Tournament, bringing together teams from Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines for a friendly, competitive, high-level and meaningful basketball experience.

When: 25-26 January 2026
Where: Barfoot & Thompson Stadium, Address: 203 Kohimarama Road, Kohimarama, Auckland 1071
What: Tri-Nations Basketball Tournament

The tournament will feature both boys’ and girls’ divisions across the following age groups:

11U – 2015 & above
13U – 2013–2014
15U – 2011–2012
17U – 2009–2010
19U – 2007–2008

The registration fee is $70 per player, which includes:

Use own ASB uniforms for this event.

Referee fees
Court hire and venue costs
Trophies and medals for winning teams
Opportunity to connect with Gilas Pilipinas National Team Coaches
