"Upper Hutt Rugby League Club" Tigers Celebrating 65 years in 2026 The Upper Hutt Rugby League has established its presence in the Upper Hutt Community over the past 60 years.

During this time there have been many accomplishments. The Club has helped put Upper Hutt on the National sporting map, producing an enviable list of Kiwi Stars such as Kevin Tamati, Nelson Asofa-Solomona, Syd Eru, Stephen Kearney, Morvin Edwards, Peter Edwards, Mike Kuiti, Mark Woods, Adrian Shelford, Esene Faimalo, Dave Ewe and Bill Harrison. An indication of the strong Management and Admin proc

cesses is highlighted by the fact that Upper Hutt was the first Wellington League Club to totally own its own premises. It took just two years, from the seed of an idea through to completion of the building. The Practical "Get on with it" attitude remains the trademark of the clubs Management Committee. Good luck to all the teams 🧡🖤🐅

STATE OF ORIGIN — 2026 SERIES

All three games of this year’s SOO showdown between Hutt Valley and Western Bays will be hosted at Naenae Park, home of the Randwick Kingfishers.

Game 1 kicks off tomorrow with the U11 & U12 Grades — Sunday 9 August at 9am.

The U16 Boys Grand Final will also be played tomorrow at 10am on Field 1. Come down and support the next generation of athletes as they battle it out on the big stage.

The Kitchen will be open all day with delicious hot kai and treats to keep you fuelled. 😋

A quick reminder that this is children’s footy, not the NRL. Our referees, coaching staff, and officials are volunteers who give their time so our tamariki can play the game they love. Please model positive behaviour, show respect, and help create a safe, fun environment for everyone.

If you need to v**e or smoke, please head well away from the fields.
The sidelines are SMOKE‑FREE, VAPE‑FREE, ALCOHOL‑FREE and HOHA‑FREE.

We appreciate you in advance for being absolutely amazing and keeping the League space a place our kids can be proud of.
