Very wet and slippery conditions for the final day of the Speed Festival in the Formula Ford!

I had 2 races today in very trying conditions with the track being very wet, which was great fun getting used to how the car feels in the wet

The first race today was good learning how the car feels in the wet conditions, but unfortunately we found a problem on the car with a loose right rear toe link which made the car very oversteery when I got on the accelerator, which made it difficult to drive but still managed to finish the race and learnt lots.

The second race was much better feeling more confident in the car staying with Seb and Dylan for the first couple laps until they started to pull away. I continued to learn and try some new things throughout the race which was good to get a feel for.

Overall it has been a great weekend learning heaps and I have really enjoyed it! And it was great to experience laps in both the dry and wet conditions!

Massive thank you to Dad for all of your help this weekend working on the car, Nigel Barclay, Simon, and the rest of there team for all of there help and support over the weekend!

Fun day today here at Ruapuna for day 2 of the Speed Festival in the Formula Ford!

I had a practice session, qualifying and 1 race which went well.

I managed to learn lots throughout the day about the car and myself and am enjoying driving the car!

I’ve got a few things to work on and improve on for tomorrow which are all positive things and am looking forward to getting back on track.

Looking forward to the racing tomorrow and it is looking like it is going to be wet which will be good to get some wet running in the car and learn as much as I can in the different conditions.

Massive thank you to Dad for all of your help today working on the car, huge thank you to Jim Hewlett for helping me out for the day with data and working on the car, and a big thank you to Nigel Barclay and his team for the help also.!

Testing all wrapped up today here at Ruapuna at Christchurch for the Speed Festival in the Open Wheelers Class!

Managed to get a good amount of mileage which was great to get more laps in the car and at a different track! Although the weather wasn’t great with very strong winds, it was still awesome to keep learning in the car!

Big thank you to Dad for all of your help working on the car today, and Nigel Barclay and his team for the help also, much appreciated!

Looking forward to a practice session tomorrow morning, then qualifying early in the afternoon and a race in the middle of the afternoon

I will also be running a tribute on the car for Garry Pedersen who recently sadly passed away who was really well known and respected through New Zealand Motorsport

Looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of the Formula Ford this weekend at Ruapuna for the Speed Festival in the Open Wheelers Class!

It will be great to get more mileage in the car at a different track and continue to learn as much as I can.

We will have testing on Friday which will be good to get more laps in the car, then racing across both Saturday and Sunday.

Excited to announce that I will be competing in the South Island Formula Ford Championship this season!

I’m really looking forward to this opportunity. It is going to be a big step up from what I’m used to, but I can’t wait to get out on track and continue to develop my skills and learn as much as possible!

Awesome day today having qualifying and 3 races in the Formula Ford!

The day started off well with qualifying which was great to get more mileage in the car and was pretty happy with how it went.

The races were really enjoyable and I learnt heaps and improved every session. It was great to have some fun battles and to keep learning and improving every time I got in the car.

Overall it was a awesome experience and was super happy with how the day went and was stoked with the pace considering it was my first time in the car.

Massive thank you to everyone at Racing Projects, especially Nigel Barclay, Simon, Colin, Jessie, Harry, Dylan and Dad for all of the help, much appreciated!

Was awesome to experience my first laps in the Formula Ford today!

It was great to get behind the wheel and I really enjoyed driving it and learnt lots!

Unfortunately we had a few issues and gremlins that meant we missed out on a few practice sessions.

But in the couple of sessions that I did, it went well and was really cool to drive!

Looking forward to qualifying tomorrow morning and 3 races!

It Was awesome to be recognised at the South Canterbury Car Club / Levels Raceway prize giving last night with the award for the best Junior driver for the 2025/2026 season! It was a great night thanks to the Car Club!

Well done to my brother Corban Sprague Motorsport for getting the award for best performer across the 2025/2026 season!

Big thank you to everyone who made the 2025/2026 season possible, I really appreciate it!
