I didn’t get to see much of Kona today after being stung by a few jellyfish during the swim

I had a bad reaction to it and started to feel quite sick.
Struggled to push any sort of power and only just got back to Kailua T2.

Unfortunately my day ended there in the medical tent.

This island and race hasn’t really been that kind to me over the years so maybe back for one more in 2026…maybe

The other Team NZ might have won the America's Cup last weekend, but this weekend our Team NZ is over in Kona, Hawai'i, representing the fern at the 2024 VinFast IRONMAN World Championship!

Ironman Cairns #5 ticked off, they don’t get any easier 😮‍💨
A solid swim and ride put me in good position heading into the run.
A Plantar (heel) injury reared its head and made running difficult and very painful but not as bad as running with a broken foot for 38km’s 😂.
