After the One NZ Warriors Top & Bottom of the South Trials Games, a group of 16s boys from across the Southern Zone pulled on the Warriors jersey in Ōtautahi, Christchurch over the weekend to take on a Canterbury 15s Boys side, in a Warriors Pathway Game🔥

A massive well done to all the boys who represented themselves and their regions with pride this weekend 💪

The next chance to put your hand up and be seen is at the South Island 16s & 18s Tournament this July, the countdown is on ⌛

Southern Zone Rugby League welcomes the NZRL Connected Game Plan 🏉

The approval of the Connected Game Plan marks an exciting step forward for rugby league across Aotearoa, creating a stronger framework to support and grow our game into the future.

For our Te Waipounamu communities, it’s business as usual, with no immediate changes to competitions, programmes, pathways or participation opportunities.

We look forward to continuing to work alongside our districts, clubs, volunteers, players, coaches, referees and whānau as we grow the game together.

🛡️ SAFEGUARDING & CHILD PROTECTION IN SPORT 🛡️

Creating safe environments for our tamariki and rangatahi is everyone's responsibility.

This important workshop is designed to provide our rugby league community with the knowledge, tools, and strategies needed to effectively safeguard and protect children and young people involved in our game.

✅ Compulsory for all coaches, trainers, and managers involved in:
• Scorpions Campaigns
• South Island 15s Boys Campaign
• South Island 16s & 18s Tournament - District Representative Campaigns

We also strongly encourage referees, board members, volunteers, club administrators, and anyone involved in rugby league to attend.

We are thrilled to announce the 2026 Te Tauihu Rugby League Coaching and Management staff leading our 18s Boys to the South Island 16s & 18s Tournament🔥

The countdown to tournament is officially on, with just over 6 weeks until our 18s boys pull on the TTRL jersey and chase South Island glory 💪🏽

It’s time to get to work boys! Training details for the 18s boys will be released soon, so keep an eye out, turn up, be seen, and earn your selection 👊
