What an incredible weekend for Te Tauihu Rugby League!
After a long journey to Oamaru, both our U16 Boys and U16 Girls proudly represented our district at the NZ One Warriors South Island Tournament.
The results are only one part of the story. Every player pulled on the Te Tauihu jersey with pride, competed with heart, showed resilience, and represented their whฤnau and communities with honor. We couldn't be prouder of the effort shown across the entire weekend.
A special milestone for our district was seeing the first-ever Te Tauihu Rugby League U16 Girls team take the field at a South Island Tournament. This is a huge achievement for our young district and another exciting step forward in growing rugby league across Te Tauihu.
A massive thank you goes to our coaches, managers, trainers, volunteers, families, supporters and sponsors. Without your commitment and support, opportunities like this simply wouldn't be possible.
To our players โ thank you for the pride, passion and commitment you showed every time you stepped onto the field. You have done yourselves, your clubs, your families and Te Tauihu Rugby League proud.
