Junior & Senior Netball Muster – Come on down!

We’re so excited to be bringing junior netball back to Tairua after quite some time away 💙 This is the first step in getting our netball whānau up and running again and entering teams into the Mercury Bay Netball season starting around April/May.

📍 Cory Park Domain Courts
🗓 Tuesday 17th February

Juniors: 3:30pm – 4:30pm
Seniors: 5:15pm – 6:15pm

Come register, jump into a fun social game, meet new people, and see what netball in Tairua is all about.
🌭 Free sausage sizzle for both juniors and seniors!

What to bring:
✔️ Comfy clothes to run around in
✔️ Sports footwear
✔️ Drink bottle

BINGO!

What a night to remember! Our final fundraising event, a lively Bingo night held at the Tairua Rugby Club, was a huge success. With a fantastic turnout, the venue was filled with laughter, cheers, and a sea of creative island-themed costumes. Thank you to everyone who joined us in their best tropical get-up—it made the evening even more special!

A special shoutout goes to our generous sponsors, Haus Blank, Coromandel Hobbies, Get It On, Tairua Butchery, and SuperLiquor Tairua for supporting the night’s activities. Your contributions made the night possible and helped us get closer to our fundraising goal.

Another huge thank you to Anna Brice of Rebel Bloome for donating the stunning Deer Head, which became a highlight of the night’s auction. It drew in some hilarious bidding and went for an incredible $600! Your generosity made a big difference, Anna.

Our incredible MC, Rory Tope, kept the energy high and the crowd engaged throughout the night, making it a truly unforgettable experience. The fun was so contagious that the crowd begged for an extra round of Bingo!

The Best Dressed awards went to Laurie Baker and Amy, who stole the show with their creative outfits featuring coconuts, flax skirts, and birds of paradise. Their vibrant costumes brought the island vibes to life and added to the festive atmosphere.

A last minute extra added round at the end brought the excitement to a new level, thanks to Storms Contracting Limited and Get It On, who each donated a $100 voucher. This led to a thrilling showdown, with three lucky players tying for the win. In true island spirit, the tie was settled with a sudden-death game of rock-paper-scissors, adding a fun twist to the evening.

A heartfelt thank you to Tim Preston for his generous donation to our Rarotonga trip—it means so much to the team!

To everyone who came along, supported, and helped make this event a night to remember, thank you from the Tairua Senior Netball team. Your support means the world to us, and it’s because of you that we’re able to head off to Rarotonga with our heads held high. We appreciate each and every one of you! 🌺

Here’s to the next adventure—Rarotonga, here we come!

On Saturday, 12th October, Tairua Senior Netball invites you to our final fundraising event before we head off to Rarotonga!

Bring along your hubby, wife, friends, family, or neighbours for an exciting night of BINGO and good company.

What to expect:
🎉 4 Bingo Rounds – With each round winner bagging a $100 voucher to a local business.
🌴 Island Style Dress-Up – Go all out in your best island attire for a chance to win the Best Dressed prize.
🎁 Raffles & Auction – Get in on the raffles, and there’s a chance to score some awesome auction items.
🍴 Nibbles & Drinks – Enjoy a complimentary platter for your table, plus there’ll be food and drinks available for purchase throughout the night.

Tim Preston won his weight loss challenge, weighing in with a whopping 13.550kgs loss, smashing his target of 10kg.
With the initial bet of $1,000 from Dave Bell, plus the $1500 that Tim received in pledges for his cause, we have a $2,500 donation coming our way for our Raro Trip!
How awesome is this!!!!!
