As Paul steps down as Vice President of the NZOFC, we want to acknowledge the heart, hard work and belief he has poured into this club.

Paul, you helped take an idea and turn it into a community. You backed the vision of an online fishing club when plenty questioned whether it could work, and you put in the hours, built relationships and helped give that vision a foundation.

Starting something new takes courage. It takes people willing to put their names behind an idea before there’s a crowd supporting it. You were one of those people.

Your leadership, the connections you’ve helped build, and the work behind the scenes have shaped the NZOFC. You served wholeheartedly, and you can be proud of what you’ve helped create: a club without boundaries, bringing anglers together through Competition, Community and Conservation.

Whatever the NZOFC grows into, there will only ever be one first Vice President. Your name is etched into the club’s history as a founder and pioneer of something many hadn’t imagined possible. How cool is that?

On a personal note, mate, thank you for standing alongside me through the challenges, the milestones and everything in between. There’s a lot that goes into building something from scratch that people never see, and I’m grateful for what you’ve given.

We wish you all the best for your next chapter. It’s great knowing you’re not going far, with your continued commitment to building SnapCatch and helping shape the future of our fishing community.

You’ll always be part of the NZOFC story, Paul.

How good is this! Young gun Asher Russell taking out the Average Snapper in our NZOFC Kids Competition!

A massive thanks to Tim Fairhurst for getting behind the next generation of anglers and supporting our kids comp. He’s still a pretty young fella himself, but it’s awesome having people and businesses who believe in getting kids outdoors, on the water and into fishing.

And a huge thank you to all our sponsors who continue to back the NZOFC, our competitions and our members. We couldn’t do this without you.

The New Zealand Online Fishing Club is all about Competition, Community & Conservation, bringing anglers together from anywhere in New Zealand.

And the kids are back at it!

Our first ever NZOFC Kids Comp is done and what a cool few months it’s been!

We had plenty of Snapper and Kahawai entries from June through August, with NZOFC members able to submit catches on behalf of their kids.

A massive congratulations to all our winners, who get to take home a rod and reel combo from our mates at DAIWA. Daiwa New Zealand

And we’re doing it again!

The next Kids Comp is running now through to the end of December, so get the kids out fishing, make some memories and get those fish on the leaderboard.

Thanks to all the parents and caregivers who got behind it. Let’s get even more kids fishing this summer!
