I went to a beautiful breath class.
I've been a space holder in the past and how good it was to be held, too. For a second, I thought I hadn't held space in a while... I haven't done any workshops or therapies.
But then quickly another realization came through. "Of course you are still holding space!!" - YOU ARE A MUM.
And that message was enough to get me writing. Because I'm sure many of you need to hear this. As mothers, we create space EVERY SINGLE DAY by tidying up, cleaning up, cooking a meal, giving cuddles, and holding space for small and big emotions. We do it every day, sometimes non stop specially when kids get sick.
It sounds cliche but is so true. You can't share from an empty cup!
Whether you're a mum or not, take notice of when and where you are holding space for others, when you are taking action, or allowing yourself to be held..
Although I always try to do things that light me up, I forgot how it felt to be held and guided in a class/ facilitated space. To not "be in charge" for a while.
The world's pace is not slowing down, and it's very important to make time to catch our breath. To reset and come out of the fight-flight-freeze response.
We all need it, not only mums. It is vital for human beings.
Maybe you enjoy solitude (I love my solitude, too!). Perhaps you also like connecting with like-minded people.
Take this as a reminder to reconnect with your soul family, with friends and people who help you raise your vibration. The kind of people that when you hang out with them, you end up feeling lighter and happier not because you absorb their energy but because the energy exchange is reciprocal. Just like we do some decluttering with material stuff, sometimes it's necessary to do it with places and people around us, too.
I'm just sharing my thoughts with those who resonate with it.🧚♀️
