Waiariki FC is proud to announce that registrations are officially open for our very first Junior Football Tournament this Labour Weekend in Rotorua!

Our vision is to bring together teams from across the North Island for a fantastic day of football, development, positive sportsmanship, enjoyment and community spirit.

This tournament is more than just football — it is also a fundraiser supporting one of our own junior players who has been invited to attend a prestigious Barcelona FC Academy Clinic in Barcelona, Spain.

Waiariki FC is committed to building strong foundations for young athletes by creating high-quality opportunities, supporting player development, and opening avenues for future success both locally and internationally. Through hard work, community support, and belief, we hope to inspire our young players to dream big and see that those dreams can become reality.

Our one-day tournament will be played at Neil Hunt Park, Rotorua — the home of Waiariki FC.

📅 Saturday, 24 October 2026
📅Postponement Date: Sunday, 25 October 2026.
📍 Neil Hunt Park, Rotorua
💲 Entry Fee: $250 per team - (Approx. $20.00 per player)

Boys / Mixed Division
• 10th Grade
• 11th Grade
• 12th & 13th Grade

Girls Only Division
• U11 Girls Grade (10th & 11th Combined)
• U13 Girls Grade (12th & 13th Combined)

Tournament Rules & Regulations
The New Zealand Football WOF 2.0 Junior Playing Format for 2026 will apply. A full list of tournament rules and regulations will be sent to the coaches listed on each team registration form, along with a tournament information pack containing all relevant event details.

Our 9-year-old son Kayden has been selected to attend the Barça Academy Clinic in Barcelona. We’re so incredibly proud of his achievement, an amazing opportunity to learn, grow, and experience football at the highest level.

🚨🚨POSTPONED - FUTSAL TOURNAMENT🚨🚨

Due to lower than expected team numbers, which we believe is largely due to the timing during the school holidays, we have decided to postpone the tournament to Term 4. This will allow us to secure a better date and deliver a stronger event with greater participation & competition.

We will be back in touch once a new date is confirmed and would love to see your team/s involved.
