We are delighted to see Stuntman get his well deserved maiden win today! Congratulations to his trainers McEvoy Racing and all connections 🥂He’s a full on character but has always been keen to get on with the job, he really wanted the win today and we are proud to have been a part of his journey 🌟

We just had the one runner La Evita (Puccini ex La Chiflota) in today at Riccarton on the Polytrack. Although not suited to the fast tempo, she ran a very honest race and hit the line well. Thanks very much to Lisa Kennedy for coming down from Cambridge for the ride, having ridden amateur myself it’s great to see these hard working and capable riders getting out there Raceday!

We finished what has been a frustrating season results wise with a solid run from La Evita (Puccini ex La Chiflota) for 4th yesterday. We have been putting in the hard yards behind the scenes and have an exciting young team to look forward to! Thanks very much to O’Hara Najib for the ride yesterday and everyone who has ridden for us throughout this season especially Donovan Cooper. Also much appreciation goes to our fantastic owners, Hadfield’s feeds, Jared Hayston and many others who have helped us along the way. A big thank you also to my amazing staff, who turn up no matter what the weather and do such a high class job, I am truely grateful! Last but not least thank you to our beautiful horses we have the pleasure and the privilege to work with everyday ❤️

We headed to Ashburton today with one to trial and one to race. Firstly Mysongisforyou (Ocean Park ex Matuki) went super in her first ever trial, she was a touch slow away but got going quickly, it was quite tight in the straight but with not a lot of room she was finishing strongly just in behind the leaders and showed a great competitive attitude. Then La Evita ran well in race 3 for 5th, she also had a few traffic problems but tried hard and was finishing well. Thanks very much to Cory Cambell and Ohara Najib for the rides and all my team 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

A bit late with this post but really just had to share these great photos taken by two of my lovely owners from our trip to Wingatui in the weekend. Both horses La Evita (Puccini ex La Chiflota) and Valora Cara (Eminent ex Brilliant Kiwi) ran honest races and it was an enjoyable experience away for the horses and also the people! We’ve been pretty quiet on the racing front but working hard behind the scenes with an exciting young team to look forward to! Ripicola our only runner today ran an honest race and loved the firm track, we’ve had stunning weather of late which makes the work day all the more enjoyable.
