The Maniototo Rugby Club was established in 1998 after the amalgamation of the Gimmerburn Patearoa and Ranfurly Clubs. The Maniototo name better describes the locality of the player base. The blue and red colours of the rugby jersey have the history of the amalgamated clubs, the Ranfurly crest is still worn. Practices and matches are played in Ranfurly at Maniototo Park unless ground conditions require a shift to Gimmerburn. The Maniototo Plain is situated in the heart of Central Otago..

Pete is a player every club values.
You lead by example and those leadership qualities inspire those around you. Your work ethic and attitude has earned the respect of your teammates and supporters.
Reaching 50 games is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the dedication you’ve shown to the club.
We couldn’t ask for a better occasion to celebrate the milestone than in a semi-final this Saturday. Wishing Pete and the boys all the best as they look to take another step towards the final.
