Best Christmas present I could have imagined!

My first book, The Human Alchemy Manifesto, is now live on Amazon - paperback and Kindle.

Years in the making. Finished just in time for Christmas.

This book explores one simple question:
why do we behave the way we do, and what actually helps us change?

Huge gratitude to my husband Paul for the countless hours designing and bringing this book to life. I couldn’t have done this without you.

Auckland and Queenstown launches coming in January.

Not everything that feels urgent actually is.

This time of year blurs that line for a lot of people.

Slowing down isn’t falling behind.

It’s how clarity comes back online.

Are you making space to reset before the year ends?

This time of year doesn’t just exhaust people. It overstimulates them.

Too much input. Too many moving parts.

Calendars packed. Conversations unfinished. Projects still open.

Your system is processing more than it can integrate.

When you’re saturated like that, clarity gets replaced with reactivity.

You move fast, but not intentionally.

You say yes when you meant no.
You rush through moments that needed presence.

This is why even a small pause helps.
A breath. A step back. A moment of stillness.

Integration restores the part of you that makes good decisions.

Let me ask you, what helps you reset when things get crowded?

Stress shuts down your frontal cortex and fires up your amygdala.

That’s why you react before you think.

Thoughts?

Ever noticed how people start acting a bit different from mid-November?

It’s not just busyness.

It’s the collective nervous system hitting overload.

Everyone’s pushing a little harder, running on caffeine, juggling deadlines, and trying to squeeze twelve months into the last few weeks.

When the pace picks up, our systems do too.

That’s why patience runs thin, reactions get sharper, and small things suddenly feel big.

If you can slow your own system down while the world speeds up, you’ll end the year clear instead of cooked.

How are you keeping your stress load steady right now?

The environment you work from shapes everything.

Sunlight lifts your mood.
Movement clears your head.
Lower stress means better thinking.

It’s not about working harder, it’s more about your environment.

What environment brings the best out of you?

Great session today with this awesome human, Tomo, the Head Chef at Pavilion here in Queenstown.

He’s incredibly talented and a genuine world class pizza chef. (From Japan as well… who would’ve thought?)

If you haven’t been to Pavilion yet, you really need to.

The pizzas are next level, the rest of the menu is outstanding, and they’ve just opened a brand new yoghurt ice cream parlour that’s already a hit.

The venue itself is stunning, right in the heart of Five Mile in Frankton.

It’s another brilliant creation from Sean Connolly.

What inspires me most about Sean isn’t just his success as a chef and restauranteur, but the way he backs his people and helps them grow into the best version of themselves.

Tomo is an amazing example of that.

Such a privilege to be part of their journey and support the vision for what Pavilion can become.

Never bored in my job, that’s for sure!

Most communication breakdowns don’t come from what’s said, they come from what’s missed.

Two things change that:
real dialogue,
and real self-understanding.

If you don’t check the meaning,
you end up reacting to your own filter, not the other person.
It sounds simple, but this one shift can change so many conversations.

How does that land for you?
