DOC Growing Voices: A youth conservation platform A united collective made by, and for, the youth of Canterbury that have a passion for conservation.

Stemming from a DOC run workshop series in 2016, we have carried on the aims and inspirations of the series; by creating a platform for youth that have an interest in conservation. Conservation is a multi-faceted topic, bringing together biodiversity, recreation, and culture, together celebrating New Zealand's natural and historic heritage. It is our aim to connect youth on this topic, and for us

as an entity to be a powerful voice on conservation in New Zealand. From grass roots projects such as hands on restoration initiatives, to influencing decision making, the sky is the limit. You, me and everyone else on this page has an equal say on what direction we are heading, and it is up to us as a collective to reach the targets. Whether it is climbing a mountain, knowledge of New Zealand's native species, or a simple appreciation for green spaces, you are welcome here. All values and perspectives are welcomed and encouraged to provide a voice that truly reflects the youth of Aotearoa.
