Term 3 is on…

Peewee and Junior Judo is back on for Term 3. If your kids are keen to try Judo out, so are we. Judo is a great martial art for kids with plenty of energy and a desire to push themselves. We have one of the few martial arts classes for kids under 6 years old. Peewee Judo is aimed at building confidence and developing fundamental movement skills....

Unless specified otherwise, location is Porirua Judo Academy. First Peewee and Junior Judo training for Term 3 - Mon, 20 July. Wellington Area Development and Foundation trainings - Sun, 2 August. (Porirua JA) Wellington Area Senior Blue and White - Tue, 11 August. (Wellington JA) Wellington Area Junior Blue and White - Sun, 16 August. (Upper Hutt JC) Last Peewee Judo training for Term 3 - Mon, 21 September....

Senior Judo starts back Wednesday, 7 January.

We don't stop for long. Porirua Judo Academy is back to business as usual from Wednesday, 7 January. If you are looking for a whole body workout, look no further than judo. Taught by experienced coaches, judo can help you achieve your best. The wide range of physical skills run from general fitness, balance and strength to specific judo skills such as break-falling, throws and grappling techniques. Judo is the complete package. Friends, skills, a workout. Give PJA a go in 2026!

Judo is a great activity for kids. Taught by experienced instructors, Judo is challenging, stimulating and rewarding. It teaches respect, resilience and the value of hard work. Earn your stripes.

At Porirua Judo Academy, we believe that grades should be earned, rather than just given. Churning out a club full of kids with high grades in a short time may help stroke egos and give something to brag about, but ultimately, they need to develop an understanding of the art, in all its complexities. Peewee Judo: Fun Martial Arts for Ages 4-5
