⚽️🏆 THAT’S A WRAP ON 2026! 🖤💛

What a season!

These photos capture so much more than football — teams, friendships, hard work, proud moments, plenty of laughs and memories made along the way.

Congratulations to all our trophy winners and award recipients — and well done to every player who pulled on the Picton shirt this season. 👏🏆

A huge thank you to our coaches, team leaders, managers, volunteers, committee, sponsors, referees, parents, whānau and supporters who make our club what it is.

This is Picton Football — more than a club, we are a football whānau. 💛

Our juniors are the future of Picton Football Club, continue to believe in yourself - mauria te pono and together we will continue to Weave the people together - Whiria te tāngata...🖤💛

⚽️ Fantail girls football team — what a way to finish the season! 💛

We wrapped up our season at the Girls Football Festival in Nelson, and what a lovely atmosphere it was.

It’s been amazing watching these girls discover that they can be just as tough as the boys, just as skillful — and sometimes, as some would say, even rougher! 😂

But it’s not just about football. It’s about building resilience, confidence and friendships, and watching them grow both on and off the field.

One of the things we’re always impressed by is seeing their faces change from that social smile 😊 to GAME FACE ON! 😤⚽️ The moment they step onto the pitch, they become focused, determined and ready to give it their all.

This year, we’ve seen such a big improvement in their understanding of positions, passing, supporting each other and working together as a team. Seeing that development has been incredibly rewarding.

And as parents, we absolutely love this festival. It’s such a wonderful opportunity for the girls to bond as a team, meet new friends, and build connections with other girls who love football.

So proud of our Fantails. 🐦💛
What a season! ⚽️✨
