Great club champs this week. Lots of great games played

A great weekend for Manaia Squash as Montana and Flynn won the Northland Junior Open Championships. An especially gutsy performance from Montana as she took out her higher seeded opponent in a four set final. A special mention also to Unai, Kayse and Dunixi who took out the top three positions in division 4.

Two northlanders capture national titles at the graded championships.

Shelly Kitchen from Whangarei and Montana Vette-Blomquist from Manaia to out the A grade and C grade titles respectively.

Well done Montana, another national champion for Manaia!

Change of event:
The Manaia Squash Club are having a fundraising event at the squash club this Friday – 21st.
The event is to raise money for Freddie and Flynn who have been selected to represent New Zealand at the Junior World Championships in Huston in July.

As well as a junior tournament running from 4:30 there will be a free meal and auction.

So save yourself cooking on Friday and come on down to the club for a curry, nachos or sausage sizzle.
Please feel free to invite some friends as the bar will be open and the more the merrier.

Food will be served from 6:30 at no cost although a donation would be appreciated.

Items to be auctioned or raffled include;
Restaurant voucher from Topsail
Massage and Physio vouchers from M3
Squash racket and Commonwealth games memorabilia signed by Gold medal winner Paul Coll.
