💙 PARAPARAUMU JUNIOR RUGBY NEEDS YOU! 💛

As we look ahead to the 2027 season, a number of our dedicated Junior Rugby Committee members will be stepping down, and we're looking for new volunteers to step up and help shape the future of our club.

Every year, we support nearly 300 tamariki who proudly call Paraparaumu Rugby home. Behind every team, every game day and every opportunity for our kids is a group of passionate volunteers who make it all happen.
Now, it's your turn to be part of it!

💙 JOIN US FOR AN INFORMAL INFORMATION EVENING
📅 Tuesday, 20 October 2026
⏰ 6:30pm
📍 Paraparaumu Rugby Clubrooms
🍴 Drinks and nibbles provided!

We're inviting anyone interested in joining the Junior Rugby Committee for 2027 to come along, meet current and future committee members, ask questions and find out how you can get involved.

We're looking for community-minded people who want to:
🏉 Help set the strategic direction of our junior club
🤝 Support our players, coaches, managers and whānau
💛 Step into key committee roles
🙌 Help create a positive environment where our tamariki can thrive

You don't need to know everything about rugby or have previous committee experience. What matters is a willingness to contribute, work together and help our club continue to grow.

📣 Tag someone who would make a great committee member, and help spread the word!

💙 More than just a rugby club. 💛

🏉💙💛 WHAT A NIGHT FOR OUR YEAR 5s! 💛💙🏉

Last night our Year 5 tackle teams came together to form the GOH and took to the field for some halftime Rippa action during the Wellington Lions 🦁 vs Northland NPC clash!

What an awesome opportunity for our young players to get out there, have some fun and represent Paraparaumu Junior Rugby Club in front of a big crowd! 🙌

A massive shout-out to our coaches Nathan & Matt, and of course all the kids who got stuck in and represented our club so brilliantly. 👏🔥

Proud of you all — what a great experience!

🏉👏🏼 Congratulations Fletcher Cooper! 🏆🎉

A huge congratulations to former Paraparaumu Junior Rugby Club player Fletcher Cooper on his selection for the 2026 New Zealand Schools U18 Pathways Squad!

Fletcher has been selected among the top under-18 players in the country to represent New Zealand Schools Squad in the National U18 Pathways Programme in Hamilton. What an incredible achievement! 👏🏼

Fletcher is a familiar face around our club, and we’re so proud to see him continuing to grow and achieve at the highest level of school rugby.

His brothers still pull on the PJRC jersey, and his Dad was once his coach here at the club. It’s awesome to see the Cooper whānau continuing to be part of our rugby community, and we couldn’t be happier to celebrate this milestone with them.

Congratulations Fletcher — all your hard work is paying off. We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way! 💙💛

🏆💙 Go girls go! 🏉💛

We are pumped seeing the updates from our girls team at the Global Games right now in Taupō! 🏃‍♀️

Winning their first game against Taumaranui, a loss to KihiKihi 11-1 and another 2 wins. They are absolutely smashing it. 💥

A huge shout out to the parents and coaching squad making this possible. 💙💛

We are so proud of you all! Keep up the mahi, enjoy every moment, and know that you have a whole crew back home cheering you on. Go hard, girls! 🏉🔥

🏆💙 Prize Giving 2026 💛🏆

🎉 CONGRATULATIONS!

Thank you to all the parents and whānau who came to support and tautoko our 2026 Junior Rugby Prizegiving last weekend.

A massive effort, once again from a lot of people to make this a special event. We loved celebrating our junior club including our players, parents, whānau and volunteers.

You are the lifeblood of our club, and without your support we couldn't make events like this happen.

🏉 Prizegiving Weekend 🏉

This week marks the final game of the season for our junior teams — and what a season it’s been! 💙💛

On Sunday, August 30, we’ll celebrate our tamariki at our Junior Prizegiving at the Paraparaumu Clubrooms. 🏆

⏰ Please check the schedule below and make sure you know what time your team’s prizegiving session starts:

9:00AM – Nursery, Y1, Y2
10:00AM – Y3, Y4 & Y3/4 Rippa
11:00AM – Y5, Y6 & Y5/6 Rippa
12:00PM – Y7, Y7/8 Rippa & Year 8

After each session, whānau are invited outside for a FREE sausage 🌭 and tamariki will receive their certificates.

There’s no need to bring a plate this year — we know times are tough, and we want to take that burden off our whānau. ❤️

For those who are able, a koha or mealofa would be greatly appreciated, with all funds going directly back into the club to support our players.
