💙 Blue & Gold Day May Have Been Cancelled… But Club Spirit Wasn't 💛

Unfortunately, the weather didn't play ball for our Blue & Gold Day on Saturday, with both Friday Night Rippa and Saturday rugby cancelled due to the conditions.

While we were disappointed not to get our junior players on the field at home, it was great to see some of our kids still getting their footy fix at the Community Rugby Festival in the Hutt. Rain or shine, rugby finds a way!

Our Junior Committee is absolutely gutted that we didn't get the chance to deliver the event we've spent months planning. So much work had gone into making it a special day for our tamariki and whānau. But if there's one thing this experience has shown us, it's just how much support exists within our club community.

A huge thank you to all of our sponsors and volunteers who reached out and offered their help. We had people putting their hands up to donate their time, sausages, BBQs, candy floss, entertainment and so much more. The response was incredible and has only made us more determined to put on something special for our kids later this year.

We'd also like to give a special shout-out to Beard Brothers, who generously supplied hundreds of sausages for the day. While we couldn't get through them all on Saturday, we'll certainly be putting them to good use at future club events.

🎬 Friday Night Rippa Cancelled – Movie Night Still On! 🍕

Kia ora whānau,

Due to the weather, Friday Night Rippa has been cancelled tonight.

However, we're still keen to get our tamariki together, so we'll be opening the Clubrooms at 5:00pm for our Movie Night!

😊 A great chance to catch up with teammates and friends

So grab a blanket, bring your mates, and join us at the Clubrooms for a fun evening indoors.

Kia ora whānau,

The weather forecast isn't looking too flash for our Friday Night Rippa games at Paraparaumu Domain this week.

We're keeping our fingers crossed that the weather plays ball and we can get our tamariki out on the field. 🤞🏉

But if the weather doesn't cooperate, don't worry — we'll still be gathering at the Clubrooms from 5:00pm for a Movie Night!

While the kids are out on the field having fun, these incredible wāhine are behind the scenes making it all happen.

Whether it's firing up the BBQ, serving food, helping families, or simply being there when needed, they give their time and energy week after week to support our club and our tamariki.
